Drifted Haiku Poetry Walk

Utilizing haiku, this project explores ideas and stories connected to drift, migration and reflecting on moments in a place or time.

Working with Sheboygan High Schools in a series of workshops, in which participants will learn about haiku while working to create their own poems. Through the course of the workshop series participants will choose one of their works to be included in a collection of laser engraved driftwood pieces that will be installed in Sunset Park (NE Park) as part of a poetry walk. We will host a poetry reading as celebration and thanks to our sponsors The Wisconsin Fellowship of Poets during their annual Conference, which will be themed “Water Ecology & Eco-Justice.”
